Training a horse starts with ensuring that your horse is healthy and ready to perform. That said, don't forget that horses need their teeth checked at least once a year. Some need it more. One of the things I ask people when they are bringing their horse in for training is when did they last have their horses' teeth looked at by a qualified professional. Some vets still float teeth, some will refer to an equine dentist. Either way, it's a good investment in your horses' health and well being.

I completely agree that horse training starts with a healthy horse. One important aspect of that is regular dental checkups and maintenance. Another important aspect that is often overlooked is mare calming supplement. Mare during her heat cycle can be quite unpredictable and can cause problems during training. Using a mare calming supplement can help keep her calm and focused during training sessions. It's essential to ensure that all aspects of your horse's health and well-being are taken care of before beginning any training. A healthy horse is a happy and willing partner in the training process.
