June 10-11, 2023, 2 Day Ranch Clinic with Cattle
· 2 Day Ranch Clinic at the Terry Myers Training Center, Ostrander, Ohio
· Ride Saturday and Sunday 9:30 am-4:00 pm.
· Clinic cost is $450 (deposit of $225 due at registration)
Terry Myers is an ARHA judge and can help you understand how to improve your showring performance.
Mornings: will focus on ranch rail classes and pattern classes. You will learn the quality of the gaits needed for ranch rail classes, with focus on collection, transitions, extensions and how to train for it. Learn what the judges want to see in the ring.
Afternoons will focus on cattle work, including tracking and the basics of Boxing, including what the judges want to see in the ARHA show ring.
As a prerequisite, you must be able to walk, trot and canter your horse in a controlled manner and your horse should be desensitized to cattle. Prior attendance to a Terry Myers horsemanship clinic helpful but not required. Cost is $450 (includes lunch for the rider, a stall and cattle fees). Auditors are welcome, $20.00 per day (payable when you arrive). Lunch is additional for non-riders.
